Dr Hatzifotis has designed a Professional Health Management Program (PHM) to help each and every one of his patients achieve optimal and durable results. Staying committed to the Health Management Program will ensure the following:

  • Success
  • Maximum long term results
  • Improve Health
  • Improve or Resolve weight related medical conditions
  • Increase life expectancy
  • More energy
  • Live a happier and healthier life

How Much Will You Lose?

Our aim is to help patients lose between 60% and 100% of their excess weight (that is, the number of extra kilograms you are carrying over a BMI of 25)

  • For example:  If your BMI is 50.1 and you have a height of 163cm and weigh 133kg – your excess weight is 67kg. After surgery, you would be expected to lose approximately 47kg on average. Some patients will lose more.

The final goal weight you reach depends on several factors including your:

  • Build
  • Body composition
  • Sex
  • Age

It also depends on how successfully you change and adapt your:

  • Dietary behaviours
  • Lifestyle
  • Physical activity levels

Dr Hatzifotis and his Multi-Disciplinary team will help you to set weight loss goals and to achieve the mindset needed to minimize post surgery risks and to maximise long term results which will improve your everyday living.

Weight Loss Timing

  • Sleeve Gastrectomy - patients may lose 70% of excess weight & reach their goal weight by 12 months,
  • Gastric Bypass - patients may lose 70-80% of excess weight & reach their goal weight by 12 months

This roughly equates to losing between 0.5kg-2kg per week, depending on your starting weight.
